The reason why this tweet started a firestorm on social media is because this game was closed to the public and only open for servicemen and their families. Not a good look for Foul Ball Guy on the 4th of July weekend especially after you put out on Tinder that you would pay up to $1,000 for a ticket to this baseball game.
Immediately Foul Ball Guy defended himself with the following tweets.
I tend to assume the best in people and always give the benefit of doubt to people, so I’m going to believe Foul Ball Guy. Plus it’s hard not to side with anyone who is going to give over $1,000 to help support our troops.
This seems like it’s just another classic case of people needing to mind their own business. People today get all up in arms over something when they don’t know the whole story or the truth. We get offended and our panties all tied up in a wad too easily nowadays over things that are totally out of our control and don’t even involve us.
It seems like we can’t do anything nowadays without someone getting upset about it. We just managed to put a dark cloud over what we really should be focusing on this weekend; Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Great job America.
