In their efforts to try and clean up the sport, Major League Baseball has been cracking down on players who get caught cheating using PED’s, performance-enhancing drugs. The most recent player whom the MLB has cracked their whip at is Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder, Starling Marte. It was announced Tuesday that Marte tested positive for Nandrolone, which violated MLB’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, and has been suspended for 80 games.
Let’s see what Twitter had to say on this.

Shoutout to Starling Marte for taking actual anabolic steroids and not any of these weak banned supplements. No holding back. Respect.

Starling Marte news stunning. One of best players in the league. And can't play in post-season if they make it. Huge, huge blow to Pirates

Well...raise the Jolly Roger! Martavis Bryant, Starling Marte...but no Penguin. Never a Penguin. Hockey's the best.

I know in baseball it's three strikes then you're out, but the current punishment is not really deterring the players from taking steroids. The risk doesn't outweigh the reward. The MLB really needs to crack down and make it one and done. That would clean up the league.
