Many pundits agreed when LaVar Ball busted onto the scene promoting his “Big Baller Brand” with his loud mouth and antics and demanding a billion dollar shoe deal, he wasn’t doing his son, Lonzo, any favors. Fast forward a little over a month and news has just broke that Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour are no longer interested in signing Lonzo Ball to a sneaker deal. Shocking.
Let’s check in with Twitter on this one.

Lavar Ball is simply telling these companies you can’t own my kid but you can partner with him. What’s wrong with that?

At this rate, the way it’s looking, Lonzo is going to end up with a sneaker deal from Sketchers or Payless Shoes. Just another sad story of a parent trying to live vicariously through their children and hence ruining their future. I know it might be painful, and the great philosopher Sheryl Crow said the first cut is the deepest, but Lonzo needs to cut ties with his dad if he ever wants to be able to sign a deal in the future with a reparable company.
