Leading up to the 2017 NFL draft, one of the biggest story-lines was which teams were still willing to draft former Oklahoma running back, Joe Mixon. After the video came out of Mixon punching a woman and knocking her out in a restaurant, many teams had taken him off of their draft board. But their was one team, the Cincinnati Bengals, who were willing to draft Mixon in the second round of the NFL draft with the 48th pick overall and it just makes perfect sense.
Let’s see what was Twitter’s thoughts.

Joe Mixon punched a woman in the face breaking bones. He is your NFL 48th overall pick. What a joke and how sad. #frustrated

Joe Mixon slapped a white girl 1x who called him a n-word and put her hands on him..didn't rape her like Big Ben who @espn still slurps 24/7

Garett Bolles - kicked out of 5 schools, drugs - "redemption story"
Joe Mixon - fight w/girl 3 yrs ago - "character issues"
— Jaye P (@marinabreeze) April 29, 2017
By the way, @Espn showing Joe Mixon's video on national television and to the ENTIRE draft in Philadelphia is ridiculously unprofessional.

Pacman Jones & Vontaze Burfict have already referred their criminal defense attorney to new teammate Joe Mixon.

I am hoping Joe Mixon is a redemption story, he has apologized in person to the woman. Got a 2nd chance, just don't blow.
— BlackSportsOnline (@BSO) April 29, 2017
In an anonymous survey over past week with all 32 NFL teams, only four said they would consider drafting RB Joe Mixon. But only takes one.

Joe Mixon, Pac Man, and Vontez Burfict on the same team. What could go wrong?
— Curt Weiler (@CurtMWeiler) April 29, 2017
Joe Mixon wasn't on the Bengals' board until they saw the video.
— Tony Gerdeman (@TonyGerdeman) April 29, 2017
Joe Mixon to the #Bengals. The most obvious pick in the history of the Draft.
— Mike Loyko (@NEPD_Loyko) April 29, 2017
With the Bengals history and rap sheet of players that have gotten in trouble on and off the field, we should have all seen this one coming. From 2005 to 2014, the Bengals' players have accounted for 31 arrests. From guys like Corey Dillon to Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson to Adam "Pacman" Jones to Vontaze Burfict, Joe Mixon will have no trouble fitting in with the rest of the long line of Cincinnati Bengals who have had their share of character issues. You stay classy Cincinnati. You stay classy.
