One of the hot topics on the streets in the world of sports is allowing athletes to use marijuana outside of competition. One of these sports being the UFC currently has a strict policy prohibiting fighters from the use of the drug. Recently one of their fighters Kelvin Gastelum was handed a 90-day suspension, fine and his win over Vitor Belfort was overturned following a positive drug test for marijuana surrounding their fight back in March.
Let’s see what Twitter’s thoughts were on this.
It’s official, Kelvin Gastelum’s win over Vitor Belfort is now a No Contest, and Gastelum is not happy with it. https://t.co/0dR6aQ6GY8

Kelvin Gastelum, Curtis Blaydes and Niko Price have now all had wins overturned this year for marijuana. Silly.

Kelvin Gastelum with 90 days suspension + overturned victory over Victor to no contest + 20% of his purse all for failed marijuana test

That's some BS about @KelvinGastelum and his suspension. He deserves the win and the full paycheck.

Tough break for Gastelum who appeared to be making a comeback and rising up the Middleweight ranks. Fortunately for him this appears to be just a minor setback.
