One of the most anticipated story lines in the world of Mixed Martial Arts was the return of George St. Pierre. Back in February the UFC had an official press conference announcing that GSP was coming back and he was going to fight current Middleweight champion Michael Bisping. The only problem with this announcement was that there was no date set for the fight so everyone was still left in limbo. After about three months and with no progress seeming to be made toward solidifying a date for this fight, Dana White announced that the fight between GSP and Bisping has been called off. White said “We’re not waiting for GSP.” This cancellation was triggered by GSP announcing on Twitter that he wouldn’t be ready to fight Bisping until after October.
Let’s see what Twitter thought of the UFC announcing that they are moving on from GSP.

GSP vs. Bisping was a bad idea to begin with. It was tolerable given conditions of timeliness. Since those can't be met, hardly see the pt.

Now Michael Bisping will fight #1 contender Yoel Romero for the UFC Middleweight Championship, which should have been the fight to begin with. Still no official date set for this fight, but everyone is speculating that they will headline the card in July during International Fight Week.
