Broncos Strip Fans Of Their Season Tickets
The Denver Broncos decided to revoke tickets from all season ticket holders who sold their tickets during the 2016 season. This marks the first strike back to the secondary market. The only problem to this decision is it kind of backfired on the Broncos when one of those fans missed the games because of a family health issue.
The UFC Calls Of The Fight Between GSP and Bisping
After George St. Pierre went on Twitter and let Michael Bisping know that he had cleared his schedule for training camp and will be ready to fight sometime after October, the UFC had enough. Back in February the UFC had a press conference to announce this mega-fight and obviously wanted to set a date much sooner than GSP was willing to. Dana White, President of the UFC, told everyone that they were tired of waiting on St. Pierre.
The NFL Denies Josh Gordon Yet Again
Cleveland Browns star wideout, Josh Gordon, applied for reinstatement and the NFL shot him down again. This is not at good look for the NFL though because it shows that their priorities are a little out of line as they allow men with domestic violence issues and players with DUI’s back in the league but not Gordon who broke the NFL’s drug policy. After this last failure for reinstatement, Gordon announced his retirement from the NFL.
Chris Berman’s Wife Dies In Car Accident
Long time ESPN broadcaster, Chris Berman, had his wife tragically killed in a car accident. This is horrific news for Berman, who is a well beloved figure when it comes to the world of sports broadcasting. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family during this devastating time.
Sidney Crosby Played While Having A Concussion
After taking a vicious hit to the head during game 3, Sidney Crosby was knocked out of the game and didn’t return until game 5 in the series against the Washington Capitals. In game six, Crosby went head first into the boards but wasn’t taken out of the game or reevaluated because of the NHL’s flawed concussion protocol. Not a good look for the NHL.
John Daly Gets First PGA Tour Win In 13 Years
John Daly won the Insperity Invitational one year after making his Champions Tour debut. This was Daly’s first tour win since 2004. This means Daly has more PGA wins in 2017 than Tiger Woods. Chew on that for a little bit.
A Picture Went Viral That Jim McElwain Would Probably Wish Didn’t
A picture surfaced recently of a man butt naked on a boat laying on a dead shark. Unfortunately one of the problems with this picture is that the man appears to be University of Florida head football coach Jim McElwain. McElwain has since denied that it is him in the picture, but either way it still just doesn’t look good for him.
ESPN Photoshopped A Picture Of Tony Romo
In an effort to welcome new comer, Tony Romo, to the broadcasting booth, ESPN released an altered photo of Romo. What made the photo go viral is that the Photoshop job wasn’t very good at all. Following the news of ESPN firing about 100 employees, this photo looks as if their creative department was part of those layoffs.
The Outfits For The Kentucky Derby Were On Point Again
One of the main traditions every year is the crazy hats and dresses that the women wear and the interesting suits the men wear to the Kentucky Derby. The 143rd running of the derby did not disappoint us again. From tulip suits to flower hats. You name it. People were wearing it.
The Future Star Of The UFC Is Born, Literally
After defeating Nate Diaz at UFC 205, Conor McGregor announced in his post fight press conference that he was going to be taking sometime off because he was going to become a father. Well after about 6 months from that announcement, McGregor officially became a father as his girlfriend, Dee Devlin, gave birth to their son Conor Jack McGregor Jr. McGregor already is joking around saying his son has a mean left just like his father. No doubt this kid will takeover as the next star in the UFC someday.
