Marvin Lewis Of All People Doesn’t Like The NFL Celebration Rule Change

After the NFL decided this week to relax it’s celebration rules and allow the players to have more fun after scoring a touchdown, it was pretty much unanimous that this was a good rule change for the NFL. However one person, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, was highly critical of this rule change. Lewis said that the new relaxed NFL celebration rules are “not a very good example for young people.”

Let’s see what Twitter thought of Lewis’ criticism.

So allowing the players to celebrate more after an accomplishment is not a good example for young people. What kind of example is it when you employ and draft players who abuse women? Marvin Lewis coached players have accounted for over 30 arrests since he’s been at Cincinnati. Lewis has plenty more to worry about than the NFL’s new relaxed celebration rules. Maybe he should focus more on keeping his players on the field so that they can celebrate after scoring a touchdown instead of being to relaxed himself and allowing the inmates to run his asylum. Maybe he should be more worried about policing his players than how the NFL has decided to police touchdown celebrations. Just a thought.
