In game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, a Nashville Predator fan threw a catfish onto the ice in an attempt to curse the Pittsburgh Penguins. However that didn’t’ work as the Penguins won the game 5-3. So before game two last night the picture above of Justin Bieber wearing a Penguins jersey surfaced. In most cases this would be a good thing when an A-lister like Bieber shows support for your team. But the Biebs nowadays is an alleged bad luck charm. So this viral picture didn’t make Penguins fans very happy.
Let’s see what Twitter thought of the Biebs donning a Penguins jersey.

"According to a USA Today article, there’s mixed evidence of a Bieber sports curse." https://t.co/aBNbdL3crp

He jinxed the Steelers 3 years ago, now he's going to jinx the Pens.

What Kathy Griffin did in a photograph is not nearly as bad as Justin Bieber taking a selfie in a Penguins jersey.

On behalf of Penguins Nation, we do not accept Justin Bieber. Thank you.

Carrie Underwood can’t save you now, Nashville. Bieber has spoken. https://t.co/wAfjZBtVNY

I hope everyone who thought Justin Bieber being on your side was a bad thing realizes how silly you were being now

The Penguins, however, won game two going away 4-1. So apparently this alleged curse didn't work either. At this point, with the Penguins up 2-0, you have to ask yourself "Can anything stop the Penguins right now?" We don't know for sure. Only time will tell. What we do know, with the series now shifting to Nashville, there is a good chance we will see some catfish.
