After this scene took place at a park in Alexandria, VA while certain members of the United States government were practicing for the Congressional Baseball game at Nationals Park, you would think that the game would be postponed or even cancelled. And you would be wrong.
Congressional baseball game on schedule tonight after yesterday’s shooting at Nationals Park. Democrats vs. Republicans.

Crazy, right? But this is America. We aren’t going to let some little shooting incident keeps us from playing the game of baseball, the nation’s past-time, to raise money for charity. This is the land of the free. The home of the brave. Nothing can keep us down. Nothing.
Just left hospital. Rep. Steve Scalise, one of the truly great people, is in very tough shape – but he is a real fighter. Pray for Steve!

On a more serious note though, please keep House Majority Whip Steve Scalise in your prayers as it seems as if he is still in critical condition in the hospital after yesterday’s shootings. Our thoughts and prayers definitely go out to him and the other four people at this time who were wounded in the shootings.
