Paul George Says He Is Done Playing Basketball For The Pacers And One Indiana Store Wasn’t Too Happy About It

NBA: Indiana Pacers at Sacramento Kings

It never goes over well when a beloved star player opts out of his contract and instead of staying and continuing to play for the home team, takes their talents elsewhere. It didn’t go over so well for LeBron James when he left Cleveland. Kevin Durant was hated on by many when he left Oklahoma City. And recently even though he never played a game for the Boston Celtics, some crazy fan burned a custom made Markelle Fultz Celtics jersey when the news broke that the Celtics had indeed traded away the first pick in the upcoming NBA Draft to the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers. So when Indiana Pacers Paul George announced that he was going to opt out of his contract after next year in order to go play elsewhere, fans in Indiana haven’t taken to kindly to it. In fact one Indiana store decided to do this.

That’s right. The store Broad Ripple is giving away Paul George gear for free. Here is how other’s are reacting to this news from George.

It appears as if this is all just a ploy by George to get out of Indiana sooner rather than later. So that he can team up with LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers in order to win a championship. In fact there are some people who believe George will be traded to someone before the NBA draft this Thursday. With Kevin Durant joining the Golden State Warriors last off-season and it looking apparent that Paul George is going to join the Cavaliers this off-season, the NBA is becoming a "if you can't beat them, then join them" league.
