What was supposed to be a big night for Lonzo Ball, having his dream come true of being drafted to play in the NBA and not only that but being taken #2 overall by his hometown team the Los Angeles Lakers, was quickly overshadowed again by his father LaVar Ball. It’s not like we didn’t see this coming. This was pretty much the writing on the wall. As soon as the Lakers took Lonzo with the second pick in the 2017 NBA Draft last night, all cameras and all eyes were not on Lonzo but instead on his father LaVar. They immediately interviewed LaVar and let’s just say he didn’t disappoint. Here is what he said.

And like everything LaVar Ball has said since he had a microphone put in his face about three months ago, this got the people talking.
Lavar Ball said while he was having sex with his wife he knew his son would play for the Lakers

This guy knows what to do and say when the spotlight is on him. Can't say that everything he has said is true, but he has been right about his son Lonzo going to the Lakers. Just think it might be a little stretch and a lot of pressure to say that Lonzo is going to take the Lakers to the playoffs in his first year. Based on how the Lakers have looked the past few years, it's going to take a lot more than Lonzo to make them a playoff team.
