Bill Russell Is Sick Of People Discrediting How Good Of A Basketball Player He Was And Let Everyone Know It At The NBA Awards

Bill Russell

Former Boston Celtics legend Bill Russell apparently has had enough of people downplaying his NBA career because of the era in which he played. While accepting the award for Lifetime Achievement, the NBA Hall-of-Famer had the last word over a handful of fellow legends. This is the comment that Russell made that stole the show at the NBA Awards.

Dead. Skull emojis. Bill Russell just put everyone in their place. That was the epitome of a mic drop. Here is what people had to say about Russell's comment.

You could pretty much feel the pent up animosity that Russell had inside of him when he said those words. He had to have been stewing on that for years waiting on just the right moment to unleash it. And he did. The first ever NBA Awards show. What a moment. How do you top that next year? I don't think you can.
