Two Boxers Holding A Grudge For 21 Years Are Now Going To Settle The Score When They Are Both Over 50 Years Old

Boxing is a sport where two competitors can really hate each other. And even after fighting it out to try and settle the score, they can still hold a grudge against each other. Well it looks like that is the case between Steve Collins and Nigel Benn. The two boxers have agreed to fight each other for a third time. The catch is that the last time these two fought each other was over 21 years ago. Their last match was in 1996 and both men are in their 50s now. Collins has beaten Benn twice. However, the British Boxing Board of Control has not yet sanctioned the fight. Here is what people are saying about the idea of this fight actually happening again 21 years later.

Rocky vs Apollo Creed. Ali vs Frazier. Ward vs Gatti. Collins vs Benn. Some rivalries never die. It appears as if Benn is the one that has held a grudge all these years and is the catalyst for this trilogy fight. I guess he can't sleep at night or live with himself until he can say he beat Collins. Not sure if there is a boxing committee out there that will sanction this fight. But if there is they need to put this fight on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor PPV.
